At HACST®, product reliability always begins on the workshop floor. To further reinforce manufacturing discipline and strengthen the quality behind our closed circuit cooling towers, evaporative condensers, and industrial heat exchangers , the company recently organized a Welding Skills Competition at our main production facility.
Practical Training Based on Real Production Needs
Unlike a typical contest, the event was designed directly around welding tasks used in HACST® equipment manufacturing. Processes such as stainless-steel coil welding, multi-position structural welding, and frame assembly were selected because they influence long-term performance, heat-transfer efficiency, and corrosion resistance across our product lines .
By using actual production components and real operating scenarios, the competition helped reinforce stable arc control, proper penetration, deformation control, and accurate bead shaping. These details later determine whether a coil can maintain stable operation under continuous circulation or whether a tower structure can endure industrial load for years without failures.
Quality Comes From Standardized Craftsmanship
Judges noted that many competitors demonstrated the same consistency required by our ISO-based welding procedures. The smooth transitions, reduced spatter, and unified weld sequences reflected the level of workmanship that supports HACST®’s reputation in overseas projects across power generation, food processing, chemical facilities, and manufacturing plants.
The competition also acted as a quick benchmarking tool. It allowed supervisors to review welding habits, identify improvement points, and align team members to the precise technical requirements used for closed loop coil modules and reinforced tower frames . These insights will be integrated into future training cycles and new-equipment development.
